Metropolitan Touring, located in Quito, Ecuador, has recently announced that the company’s flagship, 90-guest M/V Santa Cruz emerged from its period in dry dock refurbished and refreshed.
In addition, the Metropolitan Touring has added several new features to enhance a passengers’ touring experience:
- There is now an on-board Underwater Naturalist to assist guests while snorkelling the waters off the islands
- There are now hydrophones for listening to dolphins and whales, as well as a ‘splashcam’ video camera which films these creatures in action underwater from the pangas
The company is “Program Innovative” There are several Young Pirates activities including bridge visits with the Captain; and for bigger kids (Adults), there is trekking in the highlands, beach biking, scuba diving and kayaking and coffee plantation visits, all in addition, and at no charge, to the ‘traditional’ visit to the Charles Darwin Research. Station.
