Sunset Ceremonies at Ontario’s Fort Henry

July 5th, 2012

Fort Henry Sunset Ceremonies

Fort Henry National Historic Site of Canada’s award-winning Sunset Ceremonies series kicked off July 4. If you find yourself in Kingston, Ontario this summer, be sure to try and attend a Ceremony. A seven time winner as one of Ontario’s Top 100 Events by Festival and Events Ontario, this hour and a half show features the interpretive talents of the Fort Henry Guard showcasing the music, drill and artillery practices of the 1860’s. The schedule has been expanded in 2012 to also include Saturday evenings, a move that is anticipated will be popular with summer travelers in the region.

The World Heritage Sunset Ceremonies are presented each Wednesday and Saturday evening at 7:30 PM throughout July and August. Tickets for the evening performances are available online at FortHenry.com or can be purchased at the admissions gate in the new Discovery Centre.
